Found an old ticket stub from a film festival movie we saw back in 2005. It's called Bombon, el Perro, but I notice at IMDB.com they list it as El Perro. The film started late, explained one of the film festival organizers, because the film got delayed at customs. Apparently, the word "Bombon" on the film case caused some alarm.
The film was quite good, a sweet story about a man down on his luck, who receives a prized show dog as a gift for giving assistance to someone who needed help. Adventures ensue as he tries to navigate the world of show dogs and some not so trustworthy people.
Warning to parents, it's in spanish, with english subtitles, and there is doggie amore.
We added it to our netflix queue!
