One of my favorite shopping tricks ordering online is to google the name of the store I'm shopping at, and "coupon code" or "discount code".
You will usually come up with a site like retailmenot.com that will list the name of the website and a few codes to try out. You then plug the code in the promotional code box, if there's one on the website's order form.
It doesn't always work, but if it does, you can save quite a few dollars. I just got a 20% discount on something I bought last night.

Do you ever buy through Ebates? I keep forgetting to do that but it ends up being worth it too.
